President’s Message: September 2013
Hello All,
We had a GREAT first meeting of the year with a good turn out. It seemed that everyone in the room was actively engaged in a very interesting and educational 2 1/2 hour meeting. We had representatives from 2 separate inspection agencies, 2 separate supply houses, an insurance company, generator vendor, and a building inspector all participating in the meeting.
Ed Odell did a terrific 1 hour code presentation about services and circuit breakers, Ken Guignardi from Kinsley Power Systems did a great presentation about Kohler generators, and Pat Spirelli Jr. did a very interesting presentation about new LED lightbulbs and the control options from a wireless device. At the end of the meeting we started an open code discussion that was very informative about concrete encased electrodes and building inspectors inspecting for them before a concrete pour in a footing. I would like to thank Paul DeJung for bringing Mr. Joe Angiello. He is a building inspector with the Village of Mamaroneck. He gave us some great insight into the world of a building inspector which is a nice change for the attendees of the meeting.
The next meeting will be held at Four Brothers Restaurant in Mahopac on Tuesday the 8th at 7:00 for attendees and 5:30 for board members. Ed Odell from NYEIS will be doing about 45 minutes to an hour of code so please bring your book! We will also have Pat Spirelli Jr. speaking briefly about business, inside operations, and tech. The more in attendance the more each of us can get from the meetings.
We are looking forward to seeing some old and new faces at the meeting.
