President Message: November 2013

Hello All,

Wow, another good meeting! We had representatives from 2 separate inspection agencies, 3 separate supply houses as well as the building inspector for the Village of Mammaroneck Joe Angiello.
Ed Odell did an hour of code about working clearances and how it effects us all. Pat Spirelli Jr. did a presentation about live wireless cameras and new NEST WIFI smoke detectors. Pat’s presentation had the entire rooms attention with lots of feed back.

As most of you already know the next meeting with be the Christmas Party with the Westchester organization at there location in White Planes in December. The party will be the second Monday of the month December 9th it will start at 6:30 and is free to all paid members. There will be food and an open bar. The cost for guests will be $70. We will be taking donations for the Putnam Family and Community Services organization as well as Blythedale Children’s Hospital. The address is Mansion Caterers – Knights of Columbus 139 North Broadway White Plains NY 10603.

The next meeting will be held at Four Brothers Restaurant in Mahopac on Tuesday the 14th at 7:00 for attendees and 5:30 for board members. Frank Ferrina from SWIS will be doing his first of three 45 minute code presentations so please bring your book! We will also have Pat Spirelli Jr. speaking briefly about business, inside operations, and tech. We will be having a “Blue Book” Con Ed seminar style meeting in either April, May, or June. The entire meeting will be dedicated to a Con Ed representative and “Blue Book” info. Con Ed has asked that we give them some topics and or questions in advance so we will devote some time to developing a list at the next few meetings. We will also be voting on some changes to the membership by laws over the next few meetings. Lastly, we will be trying to put together a committee for a long term task of getting control of final certificates to the electrical contractors. All of the people in attendance to the last meeting have more details about those topics. The more in attendance the more each of us can get from the meetings.

We are looking forward to seeing some old and new faces at the meeting.
