President’s Message: January 2015

Hello All,

We had a surprisingly good turn out for the last meeting due to the fact it was 9 degrees outside. The meeting was informative but cut short because the restaurant’s heat stopped working half way thru the meeting. SWIS had 2 inspectors at the meeting and Freddy did a good 45 minutes of code regarding over-current protection. His presentation grew into a very healthy code discussion. He chose over-current protection because we also has a representative from Square D at the meeting who was invited by Cooper. He brought us some new products and some great info.

We announced at the meeting that a total of $8,100 was collected at the recent Christmas Party and donated to the two charities. We also set a date for our free RAB seminar that we will be doing with Westchester. Each group has an allotment of 25 people. Our sign up sheet is already half full so if you are interested in the RAB seminar please reach out to the board or be sure to attend the next meeting.
The next regular meeting will be at 4 Brothers in Mahopac on 2-10-15 at 5:30 for board members and 7 sharp for the start of the meeting. We will be having another code discussion, an inside operations/tech discussion.

If you have not been to a Putnam meeting lately you are definitely missing a lot! We are looking forward to seeing some old and new faces at the next meeting, the more in attendance the more we all can learn!
