President’s Message: April 2015

Hello All,

Last night was a packed meeting. It was packed with info and we had a great turn out. SWIS had three inspectors at the meeting with Freddy doing an hour of code. He created another small pop quiz that he went over for about 45 minutes. Joe Villani had some money saving ideas and info regarding stuff we use every day, MC cable and the latest and greatest version of MC cable that saves a lot of time and money during the installation process. NYEIS had two inspectors at the meeting that where a great help. Ed and Charlie where involved thru out the entire meeting. Mark Cowen (Greybar) and Michael Kessman (Cooper) where also in attendance with product and pricing info. The two of them are always a big help and a great source to turn to for info during a meeting. A representative from Square D did a presentation a few months ago and liked the meeting so much he decided to join the organization. He was in attendance and is another recourse for info during the meeting. The RAB seminar was last month and a huge hit. We will be trying to do that again once a year.

The next regular meeting will be at Four Brothers in Mahopac on May 12th at 5:30 for board members and 7 pm sharp for the start of the meeting. We will be having another code discussion as well as Matt Worner to speak about construction law.

If you have not been to a Putnam meeting lately you are definitely missing a lot! We are looking forward to seeing some old and new faces at the next meeting, the more in attendance the more we all can learn!
